Shoppers’ Hotline respects the privacy of visitors to the Shoppers’ Hotline website. The following statement outlines our current online privacy policy for the protection of personally identifiable information provided to Shoppers’ Hotline and the corresponding data Shoppers’ Hotline collects on the Shoppers’ Hotline shoppershotline.com website (the “Site”).
Personal Data Collected from Members of the Shoppers’ Hotline Panel
The personally identifiable information that we currently collect as part of our Shoppers’ Hotline panel is the information that our Shoppers’ Hotline household panel members provide us voluntarily when using our Web-site or Shoppers’ Hotline Card or other Shoppers’ Hotline-provided equipment or when providing and updating household information, including the information that you and the members of your household provide. This includes, for example, your name, address, telephone number, email address, other demographic information, and purchase and related information that you and members of your household may provide, when you use your Shoppers’ Hotline Card or other Shoppers’ Hotline-provided equipment and update your usage profiles or other requests for information, or when you send us questions, comments or feedback. The information we request is completely voluntary and you may easily decline to provide this information. If you or a member of your household wish to decline to provide this information, please contact us as described below under “Questions about our Privacy Policy”; however, in such case, you and your household will no longer be eligible to continue to participate in our Shoppers’ Hotline panel program, including related Shoppers’ Hotline sweepstakes, Shoppers’ Hotline points program and other Shoppers’ Hotline reward programs.
We may also conduct surveys, promotions or contests (some of which may be conducted online) to encourage member panelists to consistently report purchase activity, and to allow us to track Web-site user activity, and to better understand consumer trends and preferences. As part of these offerings, we may collect personally identifiable information. These offerings are completely voluntary and you may decline to participate; however, in such case, you and members of your household may not be able to participate in the survey, promotion or contest offering.
Our Shoppers’ Hotline.com Web-server also automatically collects IP addresses and Web-site usage information (and certain other information such as the type of browser you use) from our Web-site users. We may also track user usage of the Web-site to gauge general activity of the Web-site, to conduct Web-site performance evaluation, and to consider and implement general site enhancements.
